Sub Committees
There are four IMC Working Committees that meet two or three times a year under the direction of the Marinas Committee
EU Marinas
This sub-committee comprises IMC members from within the EU but other European members are able to attend. It addresses issues of specific concern within Europe and works in cooperation with ICOMIA's European Committee (EURMIG), which provides advice and expertise in working with EU institutions. Notable concerns are environmental regulations and taxation.

IMC Conference Planning
This key sub-committee plans, organises and promotes the International Marina Conference, which is held every third year in different parts of the world. In addition to Marinas Committee executives and members, this sub-committee essentially includes marina industry representatives from the host nation.
The triennial International Marina Conference is the single most major global Industry event held. The sub-committee is responsible for selecting a highly topical program of quality international speakers, arranging a presentation of international exhibitors of marina related products and services, and organising an educational field visit to selected marinas in the host location. In addition it is responsible for the financial management and underwriting of the Conference budget.

Natural Disaster Preparedness
This sub-committee is concerned with preparing and updating IMC library information about natural disasters and their affects on marinas together with plans and programs for minimising the affects through education about preparedness strategies and plans.

Public Relations
Also a key sub-committee its activities and strategies include:
- Addressing issues and influences affecting marina development and operations;
- Review of the Marinas Committee web-site content in conjunction with the ICOMIA Secretariat;
- Contribution to the content of the quarterly IMC Marina News publication;
- Examining opportunities and invitations for IMC's Outreach Program;
- Developing a Universal Public Relations Strategy for Marinas to incorporate the economic and social benefits evidenced from economic impact studies currently being conducted on the marina industry internationally.
