The 2011 ICOMIA/IFBSO Congress was held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, between 8-11 June. The successful congress took place at Inntel Hotel situated by the famous Erasmus Bridge in the sparkling centre of the city. It was co-organised by Dutch marine industry association HISWA and Amsterdam RAI.

ICOMIA has now published its sixth and seventh Global Conformity Guideline for construction standards. The purpose of the guidelines is to assist boat builders who comply with either ABYC or ISO, but are looking to start exporting to countries using the opposite system. Guideline Number 6 covers Man Overboard Prevention and Guideline Number 7 Builder’s Plate/Capacity Labels.
